Wired falls for bogus claims of AI writing detector startups

Now Wired is pushing the myth of AI writing detectors.

The gist of this article: Amazon should use AI writing detectors to screen for AI-written books, because the companies making detectors are so confident in their accuracy.

It almost reads like marketing material from those companies. Concerns about accuracy are mentioned here, but brushed aside.

AI writing detectors don’t work. It’s disappointing to see Wired push this bogus idea.
